Walk in the Spirit!: Volume 2

"There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside You. . . ." (1 Samuel 2.2)

There is no one as holy as our God. As His children and members of the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Son of God, we also are expected to be holy. As you will see in this second volume of the series, a walk in the Spirit includes holiness.

This series, like Illustrated Bible Verses, is a book of Bible verses and photos. The verses in this series show what God's Word says about walking in the Spirit. Use it as an introduction to the subject or as a refresher course.

I pray that you would be exceedingly blessed with this series, walking in the Spirit and in holiness, and serving God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Confidence in God in Times of Danger

Another quality eBook from Chapel Library. Confidence in God in Times of Danger is a passionate explanation of God's workings in the Book of Esther. The author moves from Biblical insight to practical application in the lives of God's people today. When the times are turbulent and filled with all manner of possible dangers, the great God of the Bible is in control and can be trusted completely.

"We learn that the most casual events which take place in the affairs of the world are connected with God's plans respecting His people; and that the most trifling things are appointed and directed by Him to effect His purposes. It decides a question that philosophy has conversed for ages, and will never fathom; recording a number of events, the result of man's free will, yet evidently appointed of God and directed by His providence. From this book the believer may learn to place unbounded confidence in the care of his God in the utmost danger; and to look to the Lord of omnipotence for deliverance when there is no apparent means of escape."

Proverbs: Selected Comments on Twenty-two Proverbs

Another quality eBook from Chapel Library. Bridges' Proverbs is "The best work on the Proverbs. While explaining the passage in hand, he sets other portions of the Word in new lights."--C. H. Spurgeon

"While other parts of Scripture show us the glory of our high calling, this book may instruct us in all minuteness of detail how to "walk worthy" of it (Col 1:10). We see the minuteness of out Christian obligations; that there is not a temper, a look, a word, a movement, the most important action of the day, the smallest relative duty, in which we do not either deface or adorn the image of our Lord, and the profession of His name. Surely if the book conduced to no other end, it tends to humble even the most consistent servant of God, in consciousness of countless failures. The whole book is a mirror for us all, not only to show our defects, but also [as] a guidebook and directory for godly conduct."--Charles Bridges, from the Preface, 1846

Charles Bridges (1794-1869) was one of the leaders of the evangelical movement in the Church of England in the mid-1800s. He was Vicar of Old Newton, Suffolk, from 1823 to 1849, and later of Weymouth and Hinton Martell in Dorset. Bridges is known for both literary work such as The Christian Ministry and his expositions, which include Ecclesiastes and Psalm 119 as well as Proverbs.

Trust in the LORD With All Your Heart

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart . . ." (Proverbs 3.5)

This short e-book of Scriptures and photos was written to bring encouragement and comfort to those who are experiencing trials.

Trusting in the Lord while undergoing trials can seem like an impossible task. We can't see a way out, we're not in control, and we're not naturally calm and patient folks. But according to God's Word, He is the only One we can trust in difficult times. The only One who knows all, the only One who can do all, and because of His great love for us, He will always do the right thing for us.

With full-screen photos of flowers, scenery, butterflies, and more.

Are You Trusting in Jesus Christ?

Trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ is the most important trust you can have. Without Jesus, you're not in right standing with God, no matter how many good things you've done or how nice a person you might be. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father but by Me" (John 14.6).

The truth is, none of us is good. Because of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God, all of us were born with a natural inclination to sin, and therefore are sinners: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3.23). And "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6.23)--not only physical death but spiritual death, or separation from God. One who is separated from God is considered to be His enemy and justly deserving His wrath and eternity in Hell. And there is nothing anyone can do to work or earn his way to God, for "by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight . . ." (Romans 3.20).

The Good News! Jesus Christ has atoned for our sins with His blood on the cross. This means that Christ has reconciled us to God, or brought us into favor with Him. Jesus loved us so much that, although we were sinners, He gave His life for us, "For He [God] has made Him [Jesus], who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5.21). And God "raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named . . ." (Ephesians 1.20-21), giving Jesus eternal life and power. And those who completely put their trust in Christ, and not in anyone or anything else, are saved through faith by God's mercy and grace, having forgiveness of sins, peace with God, and eternal life in Heaven in the presence of God and His Son: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3.16).

Dear reader, if you're truly sorry for your sins and now trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for atonement of your sins, also believing that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved. God's Holy Spirit will come and live within you, guiding you and strengthening you to live a holy and righteous life for Christ. You'll have a hunger for God's Word, a desire to do His will, and a yearning to fellowship with other believers. "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5.17).

Welcome to the family, the Body of Christ!

John’s Gospel: The Love of God

The publisher offers this ebook for free at www.thetrumpet.com/literature/985/johns-gospel-the-love-of-god.

I believe this is the most profound and inspiring booklet I have ever written. John was called the one whom Jesus loved. When Christ was on Earth, He probably spent more time with John than any other apostle including Peter. Do you know why? John was apparently the only apostle not to be martyred. He didn't write his Gospel until about 30 years after Christ's death. Later he wrote his epistles. He also wrote the book of Revelation while he was imprisoned on the isle of Patmos. John's Gospel discusses many foundational and deep subjects the other Gospels don't. He was the only writer to explain who the Word was and why His sacrifice should inspire us forever! No Gospel writer describes the God Family vision as John does. Only John discusses these subjects: the mighty I AM and who He really was; the resurrection of Lazarus and how it relates to your incredible human potential; the Samaritan woman and what she means for the world; why Jesus wept, which even most of God's own people don't understand. I believe you will be joyfully stunned when you understand these mind-gripping subjects. You need to read and study this powerful message. If you do, it will help you mightily in building God's joy in your life.

In this booklet:

o The Word Made Flesh

o John Reveals God's Work Today

o The Voice of the Bridegroom

o "I Am"

o "Keep Them From the Evil One"

o Living Water

o Build the Faith of Jesus Christ

o A Lesson in Love

Walk in the Spirit!: Volume 1

"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." (Galatians 5.25)

Sounds great! But just what exactly is "walking in the Spirit"? "Walking in the Spirit" is living a virtuous life under the influence of the Holy Spirit. In other words, doing just as our Lord Jesus would do.

But is "walking in the Spirit" possible? Yes! If it weren't, why would God have given us such detailed explanations in His Word?

This series, like Illustrated Bible Verses, is a book of Bible verses and photos. The verses in this series show what God's Word says about walking in the Spirit. Use it as an introduction to the subject or as a refresher course.

I pray that you would be blessed abundantly with this series, walking in the Spirit and being fruitful in every good word and work.

Sincerely, Jesus

Can you imagine thumbing through your daily mail and finding a letter from Jesus Christ? Not a prank, not a hoax, but the genuine article - a letter from heaven, from the risen Lord, written personally to you and your church. If hearing from God sounds intriguing, then this little book is for you. Several decades after His death, burial, resurrection and ascension, Jesus revealed Himself, in a vision from heaven, to the apostle John. Jesus directed John to write as He dictated seven letters to seven communities of faith scattered around Asia Minor. These personal notes are found in Revelation chapters two and three. In Sincerely, Jesus we will look at the amazing relevance each letter holds for life in the twenty-first century. All Jesus asks of us is to read with a listening heart and a willingness to make the adjustments, both in our personal lives, and in our churches, that the Holy Spirit prescribes.
