More than a decade later, in Boulder, Colorado, Professor Charles Summers is intrigued by the discovery of a 16th century map showing the coastline of Antarctica so accurately that when NASA investigates the maps they find that they must update their own current maps. . About the Author

Shaun Edwards has always had an interest in the darker side of human nature. As a result, he spent most of his late teens nicking UK crime thriller books from his mum's bookcase. Have devoured pretty much everything by Peter Robinson, Ian Rankin, John Harvey and John Connolly, he decided to start writing his own stuff.

Ten years later, he pulled his finger out and actually did it. 'Til Death is the combination of coffee, and a deep love for Banks, Rebus, Resnick, Thorne and Charlie Parker.

Besides writing and reading whodunnit mysteries, crime fiction and thrillers, Shaun's other loves include noodling around on the guitar, going for long walks, eating too much pizza and laughing at pictures of pugs.

He lives with his partner and a really sneaky gerbil in deepest, darkest Suffolk, UK.

The Ravagers Box Set: Episodes 1-3

In the distant future, humanity staggers against wave after wave of population decimating catastrophes, and hope fades as the extinction point draws near.

They find a time capsule carrying with it the knowledge of the past, technology that allows them to rise above their meager existence. Within a few generations, they've built walled cities to protect them from predators they'd learned to fear, bustling commerce, and telecommunications capabilities that connect people and businesses.

They've also restored the means to make war. Two great factions control East and West, each preparing to fight while hoping war never comes. Humanity wouldn't dare fight a great war so soon after nearing extinction.

But there are some who would prefer those astonishingly low population counts. And they'll unleash a weapon unlike any other in human history to achieve those ends.

Five people with varying levels of knowledge and responsibility of those plans live their last normal day, unaware that they'll be fighting for their lives against a weapon which cannot be stopped.

But somehow, they'll all need to figure out how to survive the unleashing of... the Ravagers.

A year later, a man is shot in the back of the head and left in a field of bluebells.

Is it a mugging gone wrong? A copycat killer? Or is the Bluebell Killer still out there, waiting to pounce on his next victim?

For DS Evelyn Giles the solution is simple - it's just another dirty politician caught committing an unforgiveable crime. But with the evidence stacking up against him, Giles' suspect has one more surprise in store for her...

An ingeniously, gripping thriller, The Bluebell Informant is a dark, unexpected and emotionally charged debut.

Nick on The Bluebell Informant:

'DS Giles is a strong female protagonist pitted against an extreme right-wing and corrupt politician who doesn't take kindly to having his life resting in the hands of an asian detective. But with the suspicion of murdering a man near an old World War Two pillbox hanging over his head, he doesn't have much of a choice but to trust her. Set in the peaceful countryside of Edenbridge and the bustling streets of London, sparks will fly when the two have to work together in order to uncover a web of police corruption, dodgy dealings and gangster politics...'

The Picture of Dorian Gray (Wisehouse Classics - with original illustrations by Eugene Dété)

THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY is a philosophical novel by the writer Oscar Wilde, first published complete in the July 1890 issue of Lippincott's Monthly Magazine. The magazine's editor feared the story was indecent, and without Wilde's knowledge, deleted roughly five hundred words before publication. Despite that censorship, The Picture of Dorian Gray offended the moral sensibilities of British book reviewers, some of whom said that Oscar Wilde merited prosecution for violating the laws guarding the public morality. In response, Wilde aggressively defended his novel and art in correspondence with the British press, although he personally made excisions of some of the most controversial material when revising and lengthening the story for book publication the following year.

Dorian Gray is the subject of a full-length portrait in oil by Basil Hallward, an artist who is impressed and infatuated by Dorian's beauty; he believes that Dorian's beauty is responsible for the new mode in his art as a painter. Through Basil, Dorian meets Lord Henry Wotton, and he soon is enthralled by the aristocrat's hedonistic worldview: that beauty and sensual fulfilment are the only things worth pursuing in life. Newly understanding that his beauty will fade, Dorian expresses the desire to sell his soul, to ensure that the picture, rather than he, will age and fade. The wish is granted, and Dorian pursues a libertine life of varied and amoral experiences; all the while his portrait ages and records every soul-corrupting sin.

Starlet Strangler (A Silver Snow Hotel Murder Mystery Book 1)

The Silver Snow Hotel is no stranger to ghosts. Betty Snow, my mischievous grandmother, is in charge of handling any and all hauntings. When Grandma Betty is ghost hunting, she usually disappears for two or three days. When she returns, the hauntings stop. However, she has been missing for the last two weeks. With her gone, my mom is at her wit's end. Mom has asked me to take care of the ghost problem before our busiest season is cut short. Patrons come to the Silver Snow Hotel to relax, not to be haunted by obnoxious ghosts who have far too much time on their hands.

There's just one problem: I don't know the first thing about ghost hunting. I may be a witch, but I swore off magic years ago.

Nevertheless, I snoop around Grandma Betty's study. I find a special journal in her desk just past a hidden stash of chocolates. The journal is a sort of register for ghosts who've checked in, and out, of the Silver Snow Hotel. There is also a spell that is scrawled across the inside flap. Suffice it to say, I end up face to face with an extremely rude, enchanted mirror that has been in the attic since 1901. I am hurled backward in time when Wallace is even smaller than it is today.

The late 1940s has its perks, don't get me wrong. It is a time when the air is so fresh, the scent of a rose lingers for an impressive distance. It is a time when people use phrases like 'ducky shincracker' and 'doll face'. It is a time when my spitfire grandmother is a 20-year-old in victory rolls. It is also a time when our current resident ghost is flesh and blood. That's when our ghost would become... a ghost.

Norma is an east coast girl, traveling west. She has dreams of making a name for herself in the Hollywood Hills. Well, that is not going to happen. Wallace is her last stop! It is truly dreadful, but it isn't exactly surprising. There are plenty of shady characters who will benefit from her death. If Norma is ever to find peace and stop haunting the Silver Snow Hotel, then I need to solve her case and bring her justice.

Starlet Strangler is the first book of the Silver Snow Hotel Murder Mystery Series. This is a light-hearted story without any cuss words or gore. It is a paranormal cozy mystery with intrigue, humor and a dash of romance.

Blake Pierce: Mystery Bundle (Before He Kills, Cause to Kill, Once Gone and A Trace of Death)

Here is a bundle of the first books in four Blake Pierce series--the Mackenzie White, the Avery Black, the Riley Paige, and the Keri Locke series--all here in one convenient place. This bundle offers a great introduction to Blake Pierce's series with over 200,000 words of reading.

In BEFORE HE KILLS, a woman is found murdered in the cornfields of Nebraska, strung up on a pole, the victim of a deranged killer. It doesn't take long for the police to realize a serial killer is on the loose--and that his spree has just begun. Detective Mackenzie White, young, tough, smarter than the aging, chauvinistic men on her local force, finds herself called in grudgingly to help solve it. As much as the other officers hate to admit it, they need her young, brilliant mind, which has already helped crack cold cases that had left them stumped. Yet even for Mackenzie this new case proves an impossible riddle, something the likes of which she--and the local force--have ever seen. With the FBI called in, together, an intense manhunt ensues. Mackenzie, reeling from her own dark past, her failed relationships, and her undeniable attraction to the new FBI agent, finds herself battling her own demons as her hunt for the killer takes her to the darkest places of her mind.

In CAUSE TO KILL, Homicide Detective Avery Black has been through hell. Once a top criminal defense attorney, she fell from grace when she managed to get a brilliant Harvard professor off--only to watch him kill again. She lost her husband and her daughter, and her life fell apart around her. Trying to redeem herself, Avery has turned to the other side of the law. Working her way up the ranks, she has reached Homicide Detective, to the scorn of her fellow officers, who still remember what she did, and who will always hate her.Yet even they cannot deny Avery's brilliant mind, and when a disturbing serial killer strikes fear into the heart of Boston, killing girls from elite colleges, it is Avery that they turn to. It is Avery's chance to prove herself, to finally find the redemption she craves. And yet, as she is soon to find out, Avery has come up against a killer as brilliant and daring as she.

In ONCE GONE, women are turning up dead in the rural outskirts of Virginia, killed in grotesque ways, and when the FBI is called in, they are stumped. A serial killer is out there, his frequency increasing, and they know there is only one agent good enough to crack this case: Special Agent Riley Paige. Riley is on paid leave herself, recovering from her encounter with her last serial killer, and, fragile as she is, the FBI is reluctant to tap her brilliant mind. Yet Riley, needing to battle her own demons, comes on board, and her hunt leads her through the disturbing subculture of doll collectors, into the homes of broken families, and into the darkest canals of the killer's mind. As Riley peels back the layers, she realizes she is up against a killer more twisted than she could have imagined.

In A TRACE OF DEATH, Keri Locke, Missing Persons Detective in the Homicide division of the LAPD, remains haunted by the abduction of her own daughter, years before, never found. Still obsessed with finding her, Keri buries her grief the only way she knows how: by throwing herself into the cases of missing persons in Los Angeles. A routine phone call from a worried mother of a high-schooler, only two hours missing, should be ignored. Yet something about the mother's voice strikes a chord, and Keri decides to investigate. What she finds shocks her. The missing daughter--of a prominent senator--was hiding secrets no one knew. When all evidence points to a runaway, Keri is ordered off the case. And yet, despite pressure from her superiors, from the media, despite all trails going cold, the brilliant and obsessed Keri refuses to let it go. She knows she has but 48 hours if she has any chance of bringing this girl back alive.

Mists of the Past (A Darcy Sweet Cozy Mystery Book 2)

There was nothing to worry about, right?

Wrong!

From the Ashes (A Darcy Sweet Cozy Mystery Book 3)

When Darcy Sweet's friend asks her for help in finding out more about a young woman's mother she thinks that it will just be a routine communication with the other side. The Ghost of Christmas (A Darcy Sweet Cozy Mystery Book 4)

Darcy Sweet loves the Christmas season with its snow and Christmas trees and colorful decorations. She also loves the Christmas pageant that her town puts on every year. The ghost needs Darcy to find out who his killer is so he may finally rest in peace.

The Stolen Valentine (A Darcy Sweet Cozy Mystery Book 5)

She couldn't have been more wrong!

Hiding From Death (A Darcy Sweet Cozy Mystery Book 6)

When Darcy Sweet returned home from a short vacation with her boyfriend she found, much to her dismay, that her deceased neighbor's house had been sold.

The new owner, a mysterious dark haired woman, set tongues wagging around Misty Hollow for being very aloof and unlikeable. The only thing the woman had going in her favor was her young son whom she was very protective of.

Darcy became intrigued with her new neighbor and even though the woman demanded that Darcy leave them alone, she couldn't. Darcy felt that there was more to it, that the woman had a secret. Especially after having a vision that reveals the danger that the woman is in.

The First Shot (Lieutenant Kane - Dedicated to Death Series Book 1)

The First Shot: Book One in The Lieutenant Kane Dedicated to Death Series

For Tampa homicide lieutenant Carl Kane, death is his life. If a single award existed for sinking himself into his work, he'd have two.

But the latest crime scene he's called to, an old abandoned factory, leaves him with more bodies than leads. Three drug dealers are found shot to death--not an uncommon sight in the least. The problem lies with the pair of middle-aged women--bound, gagged, and executed--found at the same location.

Before he can sink his teeth into the initial investigation, Kane is called out to another multiple homicide. He comes up with only more questions when the second group of murders appears connected to the first.

As the lieutenant tracks down the few leads, he begins to get a clearer picture of those he seeks. That picture quickly turns crystal clear when Kane finds himself face-to-face with someone that "armed and dangerous" doesn't even begin to describe.

Death's Confessor: A Civil War Murder Mystery

Pueblos, Apache, former Mexican citizens and the US Army collide in a tale of greed and murder. A new civil war mystery series by best selling author Phillip and Jennifer Bryant.

Peter Thomas Smith's days on the post of Fort Craig, New Mexico territory, are spent fighting boredom, keeping cool, and giving the spiritual state of the 5th California Mounted Infantry volunteers a ready ear. He is content to let this state of affairs continue, that is until the Piro scout, Tafoya, brings in a soldier half dead with no name, no unit, and no reason for being there. Like his preferred namesake before him, Thomas the doubter, there are too many questions to ignore.

THE MYSTERY NOVELS OF WILKIE COLLINS: Thriller Classics: The Woman in White, No Name, Armadale, The Moonstone, The Haunted Hotel: A Mystery of Modern Venice, ... and The Lady, The Dead Secret, Miss or

The Woman in White is considered to be among the first mystery novels and is widely regarded as one of the first (and finest) in the genre of "sensation novels". The story is sometimes considered an early example of detective fiction with the hero, Walter Hartright, employing many of the sleuthing techniques of later private detectives.

The Moonstone is an epistolary novel, generally considered the first detective novel in the English language. Besides creating many of the ground rules of the detective novel, The Moonstone also reflected Collins' enlightened social attitudes in his treatment of the servants in the novel.

Armadale is a mystery novel and has a convoluted plot about two distant cousins both named Allan Armadale. The father of one had murdered the father of the other (the two fathers are also named Allan Armadale). The story starts with a deathbed confession by the murderer in the form of a letter to be given to his baby son when he grows up.

No Name is a 19th-century novel revolving around the issue of illegitimacy.

Wilkie Collins (1824-1889) was an English novelist, playwright, and author of short stories. His best-known works are The Woman in White, No Name, Armadale, and The Moonstone.

Clarity Hunters

Hugh Brier is an average guy with above-average troubles. His construction skills, and his background he doesn't talk about much, attract the interest of a shadowy think tank called the Merit Group. They think he's clever and want to hire him, though the terms of his employment are worryingly vague.

Hugh manages to tell them 'no' in a way they understand. He thinks he's clear of all trouble when his day job almost kills him. The apartment building he's spearheading partially collapses while he and his people are inside.

When Hugh wakes, he's in the hospital, three of his employees are dead, and the police and prosecutors are eyeing Hugh hard.

Hugh's insistence on his innocence seems to make him look more guilty. Under the darkest kind of cloud, he begins piecing together the facts of this disaster. The true picture is a dangerous one: one of Portland's shadowy power centers, a builder and concrete supplier called Andrew Pallin, has orchestrated the sabotage of Hugh's building. He's also pulling strings to ensure Hugh's prosecution. It's the hard nose way of handling up-and-coming competition.

Hugh can't convince anyone in authority to believe him. What's left? Prison, no. He's already spent many months in a federal prison earlier in his life. He wants vindication.

Hugh turns to the people he met at the Merit Group and asks for their help. There's a cost, of course. Hugh has to commit to a year's contract working for them in exchange for a plan to bring about Andrew Pallin's fall.

Hugh knows how heavy his current troubles are and signs up. Once he steps into the shadowy world of think tanks and private spies, his real trouble begins.

The Missing Gun (Hawker of the Yard Book 1)

London in the autumn of 1939: the early months of World War 2. Hitler has just conquered Poland, but life in London continues much as it did in peacetime, albeit a little more restricted since the introduction of petrol rationing. No bombs have been dropped on the city as yet, but the population go about their daily business under the constant threat of German air raids, and a blackout remains in force at night.

For Scotland Yard and the criminal fraternity, however, it is business as usual. When a pawnbroker's assistant is wounded by a gunman wearing a gasmask, it appears to be a straightforward case of a bungled armed robbery, but as Hawker proceeds with his investigation, the more facts he uncovers the more confusing the affair becomes. A red-headed soldier, a missing gun, a dead cat, an empty violin case and a damaged violin are only a few of the threads that have to be unravelled before he can wrap up the case - with a little help from Sherlock Holmes.

Herman Cyril McNeile (1888-1937) commonly known as H. C. McNeile or Sapper, was a British soldier and author. Drawing on his experiences in the trenches during the First World War, he started writing short stories and getting them published in the Daily Mail. McNeile's stories are either directly about the war, or contain people whose lives have been shaped by it. His war stories were considered by contemporary audiences as anti-sentimental, realistic depictions of the trenches, and as a "celebration of the qualities of the Old Contemptibles".

Extract:

"It was from the top of the Rock that they watched their evil-smelling boat depart, to plug on northward up the home trail, unperturbed by naval battles or rumours thereof. And it was from the top of the Rock they first saw the smoke of the P. and O., outward bound, on which they were destined to complete the journey. Below lay the bay, dotted with German and Austrian ships caught on the high seas at the outbreak of war; a destroyer was going half-speed towards the Atlantic; a cruiser lay in dock, her funnels smoking placidly. "So long." The gunner subaltern waved a weary hand from his point of vantage, where he was inspecting life with a telescope. "There's your barge, but she won't leave till to-morrow. If this goes on for much longer, my nerves will give way under the strain. The excitement is too great."

Thoughts and questions raced through her head. She tried to plot out different scenarios - where might they have been taken, what were they planning to do with them, and, most importantly, how was she going to find them and save them.

KIM (With Original Illustrations): An Adventure Classic from one of the most popular writers in England, known for The Jungle Book, Just So Stories, Captain ... Stalky & Co & Plain Tales from the Hill

Kim (Kimball O'Hara) is the orphaned son of an Irish soldier and a poor Irish mother who have both died in poverty. Living a vagabond existence in India under British rule in the late 19th century, Kim earns his living by begging and running small errands on the streets of Lahore. He occasionally works for Mahbub Ali, a Pashtun horse trader who is one of the native operatives of the British secret service. Kim is so immersed in the local culture, few realise he is a white child, though he carries a packet of documents from his father entrusted to him by an Indian woman who cared for him. The story unfolds against the backdrop of The Great Game, the political conflict between Russia and Britain in Central Asia. It is set after the Second Afghan War which ended in 1881, but before the Third, probably in the period 1893 to 1898. The novel is notable for its detailed portrait of the people, culture, and varied religions of India. "The book presents a vivid picture of India, its teeming populations, religions, and superstitions, and the life of the bazaars and the road."

Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was an English short-story writer, poet, and novelist. He wrote tales and poems of British soldiers in India and stories for children. He is regarded as a major innovator in the art of the short story; his children's books are classics of children's literature; and one critic described his work as exhibiting "a versatile and luminous narrative gift".

Ice Blue: Volume 1 (Lord & Lady Hetheridge)

"What made this ebook such pleasurable reading was not the murder or even the Police procedure, but the rather wonderful cast of characters that the author, Emma Jameson, has created to populate her world. In the space of about 184 pages, Emma has managed to give us a whole collection of individuals, each very nicely rounded out and real. Even very minor players - such as the tall PC who finds the pistol seems to be alive and obviously has a life outside the book." -- Tony Cole, eBookanoid.com *** Anthony Hetheridge, ninth Baron of Wellegrave, Chief Superintendent for New Scotland Yard, never married, no children, no pets, no hobbies, and not even an interesting vice, will turn sixty in three weeks. With the exception of his chosen career, too sordid for his blue-blooded family to condone, his life has been safe and predictable. But then he meets Detective Sergeant Kate Wakefield - beautiful, willful, and nearly half his age. When Hetheridge saves the outspoken, impetuous young detective from getting the sack, siding with her against Scotland Yard's powerful male hierarchy, his cold, elegantly balanced world spins out of control. Summoned to London's fashionable Belgravia to investigate the brutal murder of a financier, Hetheridge must catch the killer while coping with his growing attraction to Kate, the reappearance of an old flame, and the secret that emerges from his own past.

"Full of thrills and tension - but smart and human too."

Lee Child, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of Jack Reacher Thrillers

Dear Friends,

It might be better if I didn't confess this right up front. But I thought you should know....

WARNING: Licensed to Thrill is a nefarious plot.

How so? We want to entice you to read more of my books the way chocolatiers ply me with irresistible morsels and wineries waft swoon-worthy samples under my nose. Like the famous potato chips, we hope you won't be able to stop after reading this collection of special gems not gathered anywhere else.

Fiendishly clever, isn't it? Exactly.

We need to give you enough to whet your appetite and draw you in, but not so much that you'll no longer be hungry for more. A fine line. Tricky. Challenging. Fun!

Here's what we selected for your reading pleasure in Licensed to Thrill: A Diane Capri Sampler

Fatal Enemy, featuring the new heroine I really love--Jess Kimball. A fiery woman, driven by her own past to fight for crime victims the justice system failed. Jess reminds me of Jack Reacher, only female, smaller, and nicer. Jess is alone in the world wherever she goes. But unlike Reacher, Jess's mission is one only she believes in and only she can complete. In Jess's shoes, could you do what she's done? I wonder....

Jess Kimball's story continues in the sample of Fatal Distraction, which opened as the Amazon #3 Bestselling Legal Thriller, behind John Grisham. What a thrill that was for me. (Why? Hang on -- I'm getting to that.)

Behind the Book scoop on my friendship with #1 worldwide publishing phenomenon Lee Child who calls my work, "Full of thrills and tension, but smart and human, too." Lee gave the Hunt for Reacher series an enthusiastic two thumbs up: "Kim Otto is a great, great character. I love her!"

Don't Know Jack garnered #1 Amazon Bestseller spots on the Mystery, Hard-boiled Mystery, Police Procedural, Women Sleuths, and Legal Thriller lists both in the U.S. and U.K. The sample here should whet your appetite to find out what happens when two F.B.I. agents are tasked with the mysterious and confounding task of hunting Jack Reacher.

What does law have to do with justice? We lawyers are an odd bunch and the law is a very strange mixture of the best and the worst of times for heroes and villains alike in my Justice Series of witty legal suspense mysteries. All six of these are set in Florida, so if it's a bit cold where you are right now, take a little trip with me to the Sunshine State where things are a whole lot warmer. Readers and reviewers alike love this series, but when the mystery reviewers at Romantic Times awarded Wasted Justice their coveted "Top Pick" -- well, all I can say is what a rush!

Licensed to Thrill also includes an excerpt from Lee Child's Reacher Report sharing his views on Don't Know Jack; a humorous piece titled "Diane Capri Reveals Lee Child (not Jack Reacher?)"; and finally--remember what I said earlier about John Grisham?

What? I'm out of space? Yikes! Well, you'll just have to see for yourself!

BOOK DESCRIPTION

The BLIND SCORPION is a Top Secret computer program for simulating nuclear weapons explosions and the catastrophic havoc they wreak. Dr. Ross Shaheen, the developer of the software, is living the American dream. Between his internationally-recognized nuclear weapons research career at the prestigious Berkeley Lab and his picture-perfect family in the San Francisco suburbs, it's a good life that can only get better...until he is lured into lecturing before an elite group of scientists in the country of his birth: Iran.

The seven thousand mile trip takes Shaheen back to the land of the lion and the sun, yet it also delivers to Iran's very doorstep an important American citizen with a Top Secret security clearance. It soon becomes clear what the Iranians are really after: the BLIND SCORPION. The coveted software is the key to advancing their clandestine nuclear weapons program without the rest of the world being able to prove its existence. Shaheen becomes entangled in a twisted web of espionage, corruption and survival, putting to the test not only his secret knowledge but also the very core of his allegiance to the land he now calls home.

If he lives, Ross Shaheen could walk away a hero.

The question is, for which country?

THE WORLD WAR COLLECTION OF H. C. MCNEILE (SAPPER): No Man's Land, Mufti, Word of Honour, John Walters, Sergeant Michael Cassidy, The Human Touch, The Finger of Fate, The Lieutenant…

This carefully edited collection has been designed and formatted to the highest digital standards and adjusted for readability on all devices.

"No one who has ever given the matter a moment's thought would deny, I suppose, that a regiment without discipline is like a ship without a rudder. True as that fact has always been, it is doubly so now, when men are exposed to mental and physical shocks such as have never before been thought of. The condition of a man's brain after he has sat in a trench and suffered an intensive bombardment for two or three hours can only be described by one word, and that is--numbed. The man becomes half-stunned, dazed; his limbs twitch convulsively and involuntarily; he mutters foolishly--he becomes incoherent. Starting with fright he passes through that stage, passes beyond it into a condition bordering on coma; and when a man is in that condition he is not responsible for his actions. His brain has ceased to work..." - H. C. McNeile, Men, Women and Guns

The Islamic State of London: Muslim extremists have nuked London and the country is at war. The controversial page turner thriller starts here. (Blue Eyed Infidel Book 1)

The controversial and exciting thriller about Islamic Extremism in the UK, a debut book written by an ex-cyber analyst and security services field operative.

"Wow, so much in this book! Controversy, action, epic story and it's really quite funny too!"

"Seriously big ideas, but boy, what an entertaining book!"

Author's note...

Never mind Fake News, how about reading a thriller about a Fake Future?

In May 2017, a young Muslim man blew himself up in Manchester in the North of England, killing young girls and families at a pop concert. Barely a week later, three more Muslims ran into a London marketplace with knives, and started killing people 'For Allah.' They were all inspired by, and following the lead of ISIS.

Twitter was alive with pro-ISIS comments promising an Islamic State was going to emerge in London as the Muslim population keeps growing far faster than any other groups, and more young men sign up to extremism.

But will it happen? When London becomes a Muslim city, will it be a peaceful place, or will it descend into an ISIS like level of extremism?

Nobody knows, but what a great topic for a cracking action-packed story!

In Blue Eyed Infidel, Islamic Extremists have set off a nuclear bomb in London, and declared an Islamic State of London. They want to destroy all remaining British people, starting with a suicide bomb attack on the Royal Family.

Adam Ali, the son of a sex slave and unwilling member of the Islamic State of London is about to be dragged into something that will completely change not just his life, but maybe the war as a whole...

So, a controversial topic, but first and foremost it's a fast-paced debut thriller, with a ton of amazing ideas, elements of sci-fi, action-packed scenes, and later on some pretty raunchy scenes too... It's extremely easy to read, with characters you'll love and hate in equal measure. Give it a go... see what the fuss is about. Why not?

Interview with the author

Why don't you have a photo?

I can't without breaking the Official Secrets Act.

Also my mum back in Wales told me I have to stay incognito after I was shot, and I don't want to give her any stress. She's over 70 now and deserves some peace.

Why should anyone read your books?

Because I look so damned dashing in my picture of course ! When I was in warzones dealing with ISIS, (which is 99% boredom, 1% insanity) I read a lot of thrillers, and found myself skipping pages and getting bored with a lot of them because they just followed a tedious formula and all seemed more or less the same. So, I've made every effort to write books that I'd like to read myself and that are definitely not boring or predictable! My books are absolute corking twisted thrillers, crazy political satires, and total page turner thrillers that are action packed and race along. You won't skip a single word, and if you can guess the ending... I'll go out and buy a hat just so I can eat it!

Also, each of my books is divided into short read volumes you can bash through in an hour or two each. Ideal for commuting, or chilling out. Things happen quickly and there are a lot of cliff hangers.

I love things which are imaginative, controversial and don't play by the rules but still have a massive impact. Movies like Rebel Without a Cause, Terminator, Requiem for a Dream, books like Catch 22, TV shows like Star Trek, (yup it was controversial once!) My books try to be the same. The difference is I write about things people talk about at dinner, but don't feel comfortable talking about in public. So, yes that does include things like Islamic extremism, political correctness, global politics and lots more.

Sounds like you don't like Islam!

The hero of my book is a Muslim and he's a good guy. In theory, Islam really SHOULD be a religion of peace, but in practice it isn't, is it?

SERGEANT MICHAEL CASSIDY & OTHER WAR STORIES: 67 Short Stories in One Edition: The Lieutenant, The Man in Ratcatcher, No Man's Land, Word of Honour…

This carefully edited collection has been designed and formatted to the highest digital standards and adjusted for readability on all device.

Herman Cyril McNeile (1888-1937) commonly known as H. C. McNeile or Sapper, was a British soldier and author. Drawing on his experiences in the trenches during the First World War, he started writing short stories and getting them published in the Daily Mail. His war stories were considered by contemporary audiences as anti-sentimental, realistic depictions of the trenches, and as a "celebration of the qualities of the Old Contemptibles". McNeile's view, as expressed through his writing, was that war was a purposeful activity for the nation and for individuals, even if that purpose was later wasted: a "valuable chance at national renewal that had been squandered". The positive effects of war on the individual were outlined by McNeile, in The Lieutenant and Others and Sergeant Michael Cassidy, R.E, in which he wrote about "the qualities of leadership and selflessness essential to 'inspire' subalterns". His war stories include descriptions of fights between individuals that carry a sporting motif: in Sergeant Michael Cassidy, R.E., he writes, "To bag a man with a gun is one thing; there is sport--there is an element of one against one, like when the quality goes big game shooting. But to bag twenty men by a mine has not the same feeling at all, even if they are Germans"

The Used Virgin: An Argolicus Mystery (Argolicus Mysteries)

After Rome, before the Middle Ages, Italy belonged to the Ostrogoths.

A corrupt governor. A young girl. An old man. Argolicus unravels the threads.

When a life-long friend disappears, a peaceful retreat to the provinces turns into a challenge to the local governor for Argolicus.

A cruel slander originates from the venal governor. When Argolicus visits the governor, he discovers an unscrupulous plot destined to impoverish his friend. When his lifelong tutor overhears a comment, they set out to find their friend only to discover base cruelty and a secret plot.

A plot that challenges the King's people, the roots of Roman civility, and his friend's life.

Affronted, he pursues the thread. Little does he know that his investigation will pitch him in a fight with thugs and ultimately set him head-to-head with the governor.

The Story

When Peter Nicolson, a reporter with the Edinburgh Evening News, is the 'lucky' recipient of a kidney transplant that saves his life, he is one of the first people in the world to be treated with the new genetic wonder drug 'SP-X4'.

Yet as he recovers, his personality begins to change, and he discovers that he can see visions of unsolved killings committed by a murderer that no one has ever caught. Peter sets out to solve the murders, to track down the killer, and find out the truth behind his visions.

As he uncovers a trail of death that stretches across the United Kingdom and Europe, the makers of 'SP-X4' watch his actions from afar, anxious that he will uncover the incredible truth behind their new drug treatment, and conspire to make sure he does not succeed in revealing it to the world.

In Peter's vision, there are seven knives. So far, there have only been six murders. Can he solve the case before a seventh life is taken? If he can't, who will be last to die?
