The Picture of Dorian Gray

The Picture of Dorian Gray is an 1891 philosophical novel by Irish writer and playwright Oscar Wilde. First published as a serial story in the July 1890 issue of Lippincott's Monthly Magazine, the editors feared the story was indecent, and without Wilde's knowledge, deleted five hundred words before publication. Despite that censorship, The Picture of Dorian Gray offended the moral sensibilities of British book reviewers, some of whom said that Oscar Wilde merited prosecution for violating the laws guarding the public morality. In response, Wilde aggressively defended his novel and art in correspondence with the British press. Wilde revised and expanded the magazine edition of The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890) for publication as a novel; the book edition (1891) featured an aphoristic preface - an apologia about the art of the novel and the reader. The content, style, and presentation of the preface made it famous in its own literary right, as social and cultural criticism. In April 1891, the editorial house Ward, Lock and Company published the revised version of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Psychiatrist Erik Maria Bark is called in to hypnotise him - but what the man tells him under hypnosis leads Erik to start lying to the police.

Shaw's War: An engrossing crime thriller

SAS officer Harry Shaw is a man with a lethal mission and a master of the essential elements in a successful undercover operation - stealth, surprise and the stomach to kill quietly and mercilessly.

Disillusioned by the war of attrition in Ulster, he leaves the SAS and decides to 'take out' on his own the money men, the ringleaders of the American organisation NORAID who supply funds - blood money, as Shaw sees it - to the IRA.

To raise the finance for his operation, Shaw has to become a mercenary. Planning to exploit the situation to his own advantage, he embroils himself and his friend and former NCO, Bill Townsend, in the conflict in the Middle East. The funds he channels into his own private war as he pursues his quarry ruthlessly from the 'bandit country' of South Armagh to the concrete jungle of New York.

A spate of terrorist attacks launched by Shaw forces America and NORAID to take notice of his demands. But when the CIA, the SAS and finally the IRA start putting the pieces together Shaw's war starts to turn very ugly indeed.

Shaw's War is a sparkling, highly topical, technically inventive thriller - the story of one man's attempt to take terrorism to the streets of New York.

Sherlock Holmes: The Truly Complete Collection (the 60 official stories + the 6 unofficial stories)

Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who first appeared in publication in 1887. He is the creation of Scottish born author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based detective, Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess, and is renowned for his skillful use of deductive reasoning (somewhat mistakenly - see inductive reasoning) and astute observation to solve difficult cases. He is arguably the most famous fictional detective ever created, and is one of the best known and most universally recognizable literary characters in any genre.

Conan Doyle wrote four novels and fifty-six short stories that featured Holmes. All but four stories were narrated by Holmes' friend and biographer, Dr. John H. Watson, two having been narrated by Holmes himself, and two others written in the third person. The first two stories, short novels, appeared in Beeton's Christmas Annual for 1887 and Lippincott's Monthly Magazine in 1890. The character grew tremendously in popularity with the beginning of the first series of short stories in The Strand Magazine in 1891; further series of short stories and two serialized novels appeared almost right up to Conan Doyle's death in 1930. The stories cover a period from around 1878 up to 1903, with a final case in 1914.

This collection contains all the 60 official and the 6 unofficial Sherlock Holmes stories - in total 66 works (the biggest and greatest Sherlock Holmes collection in the eBook world).

Murder in Hatterton Crow

A cosy murder mystery set in the odd and slightly disturbing English village of Hatterton Crow. From British writer Ormolu Mockingbird.

Gretchen is an assistant at The Great Beyond funeral home, and she is not having a good day. Her father is having one of his 'prescient turns' again, her mother is planning a trip to Spain with her informal ladies' society, and to cap it all the village baker, Ben Tonkins, has died, which means that Gretchen will be bereft of her favourite dense, jammy sponge cakes. And there is something entirely fishy about Ben's death that sits ill with the intrepid mortician.

And what's worse is that something sinister appears to be at work in the village - a place where modern technology goes to die - because Gretchen's solemn and sensible boss, the honey-voiced Carmel, seems to have come down with a case of the crazies, botching the embalming process on Ben, and getting wildly smashed on vodka before bashing both Gretchen and another villager, Rosie Tawber, with a cricket bat.

But Gretchen knows Carmel, and she knows that cricket was never her game, so she sets out with the help and hindrance of the villagers to discover who, exactly, is the murderer in their midst - and what could be their motive in this sleepy corner of England.

In an elite suburb of New York City, girls are dying. That doesn't happen in Greenvale, with its immaculate lawns, exclusive yacht clubs and multi-million dollar mansions. But behind its perfect facade, its trimmed hedges and luxury cars, a darkness lies. Girls, dependent on Adderall, outmaneuver each other to get into top colleges, while the mothers' need to live vicariously only makes it worse.

Bella DeFranco is one of the Bronx's top SVU detectives. At only 37, she disarms everyone with her stunning good looks, yet she is as tough as most men--and a lot smarter, too. Yet when is summoned to Greenvale, she finds herself getting lost in a case that even she can't comprehend. She stumbles into a land of secrets, a place where husbands hide their pasts from their wives, where friends are not what they seem, and where no one wants to know too much. As she digs deeper into layers of suburban dysfunction, she comes to learn that, behind all the fake smiles, there is a subtle violence--rivaling even her crime-ridden streets of the Bronx.

With a killer on the loose, time running out, and a new partner who never recovered from his washed-up alcoholic days, the odds are stacked against Bella. She is determined, though, to save these girls, whatever the cost. Yet as she gets close, the depth of psychosis she discovers shocks even her....

Blake Pierce: Mystery Bundle (Before He Kills, Cause to Kill, Once Gone and A Trace of Death)

Here is a bundle of the first books in four Blake Pierce series--the Mackenzie White, the Avery Black, the Riley Paige, and the Keri Locke series--all here in one convenient place. This bundle offers a great introduction to Blake Pierce's series with over 200,000 words of reading.

In BEFORE HE KILLS, a woman is found murdered in the cornfields of Nebraska, strung up on a pole, the victim of a deranged killer. It doesn't take long for the police to realize a serial killer is on the loose--and that his spree has just begun. Detective Mackenzie White, young, tough, smarter than the aging, chauvinistic men on her local force, finds herself called in grudgingly to help solve it. As much as the other officers hate to admit it, they need her young, brilliant mind, which has already helped crack cold cases that had left them stumped. Yet even for Mackenzie this new case proves an impossible riddle, something the likes of which she--and the local force--have ever seen. With the FBI called in, together, an intense manhunt ensues. Mackenzie, reeling from her own dark past, her failed relationships, and her undeniable attraction to the new FBI agent, finds herself battling her own demons as her hunt for the killer takes her to the darkest places of her mind.

In CAUSE TO KILL, Homicide Detective Avery Black has been through hell. Once a top criminal defense attorney, she fell from grace when she managed to get a brilliant Harvard professor off--only to watch him kill again. She lost her husband and her daughter, and her life fell apart around her. Trying to redeem herself, Avery has turned to the other side of the law. Working her way up the ranks, she has reached Homicide Detective, to the scorn of her fellow officers, who still remember what she did, and who will always hate her.Yet even they cannot deny Avery's brilliant mind, and when a disturbing serial killer strikes fear into the heart of Boston, killing girls from elite colleges, it is Avery that they turn to. It is Avery's chance to prove herself, to finally find the redemption she craves. And yet, as she is soon to find out, Avery has come up against a killer as brilliant and daring as she.

In ONCE GONE, women are turning up dead in the rural outskirts of Virginia, killed in grotesque ways, and when the FBI is called in, they are stumped. A serial killer is out there, his frequency increasing, and they know there is only one agent good enough to crack this case: Special Agent Riley Paige. Riley is on paid leave herself, recovering from her encounter with her last serial killer, and, fragile as she is, the FBI is reluctant to tap her brilliant mind. Yet Riley, needing to battle her own demons, comes on board, and her hunt leads her through the disturbing subculture of doll collectors, into the homes of broken families, and into the darkest canals of the killer's mind. As Riley peels back the layers, she realizes she is up against a killer more twisted than she could have imagined.

In A TRACE OF DEATH, Keri Locke, Missing Persons Detective in the Homicide division of the LAPD, remains haunted by the abduction of her own daughter, years before, never found. Still obsessed with finding her, Keri buries her grief the only way she knows how: by throwing herself into the cases of missing persons in Los Angeles. A routine phone call from a worried mother of a high-schooler, only two hours missing, should be ignored. Yet something about the mother's voice strikes a chord, and Keri decides to investigate. What she finds shocks her. The missing daughter--of a prominent senator--was hiding secrets no one knew. When all evidence points to a runaway, Keri is ordered off the case. And yet, despite pressure from her superiors, from the media, despite all trails going cold, the brilliant and obsessed Keri refuses to let it go. She knows she has but 48 hours if she has any chance of bringing this girl back alive.

Latimer's Demon (A Psychological Thriller and Murder Mystery)

D. M. Mitchell has been compared to Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Ruth Rendell, M. R. James, Linwood Barclay, Umberto Eco, the Bronte sisters, Charles Dickens and many others. His novel, The Soul Fixer, has been optioned for a Hollywood movie in conjunction with the famous director Dominic Sena (director of Gone in 60 Seconds, Swordfish etc). Discover for yourself why D. M. Mitchell is being regarded by some as one of the UK's most original and exciting writers of psychological thrillers and supernatural fiction.

April 1918. David Latimer is a young man badly injured by the war, not only physically but mentally, too. Sent to Isherwood Sanatorium to recover, he meets Christopher Gilbourne, a fellow-sufferer of shell shock. They become firm friends until Christopher is discharged and is sent home to recover at his parents' home.

But David Latimer is haunted by something far more sinister and terrifying than the war. He is haunted by a demon which comes every night to torment him. Is this demon real or a cruel symptom of his illness? He is contacted by a Doctor Harradine, who believes he can cure him of his affliction, the way he helped cure his friend Christopher Gilbourne, and so David Latimer finds himself bound for Somerset in England.

Here he meets Christopher's parents at Gilbourne House, a crumbling old estate in the heart of rural Somerset. The Gilbournes - Sir Christopher and his wife Margaret - are in the throes of grief after losing their son, who returned to the Front and was killed, but they want to help his last good friend, David Latimer, and are paying for his treatment. Margaret is also dabbling in the occult, trying to contact her dead son, using a local young woman called Megan Attwell as a medium - a young woman who reputedly can speak to the dead.

David Latimer is soon attracted to Megan Attwell, and finds himself torn between the logic of Doctor Harradine and the occult beliefs of Megan. Moreover, he finds out she is desperately trying to clear the name of her husband-to-be William Pike, a man accused of murdering the Gilbournes' estate manager, yet no one will believe the young man did not commit the crime.

Not only is David Latimer still suffering his demonic tormenting, but he is drawn inexorably into a labyrinthine world of the supernatural, secrets, lies and murder, and during his treatment his own dark and tragic past is dragged to the surface - a past that will have dire implications for all involved.

With his trademark detailed and fully believable characters, and intelligent plot twists and turns, D. M. Mitchell pens a brilliantly taut, multi-layered murder/mystery shot through with the supernatural and horror; a unique novel that will leave you gasping for breath from its quiet beginning all the way to its shock ending.

Northanger Abbey: free sampler

A sample of queen of crime, Val McDermid's modern re-telling of the Austen classic. Get ready for a very different Northanger Abbey.

Seventeen-year-old Catherine 'Cat' Morland has led a sheltered existence in rural Dorset, a life entirely bereft of the romance and excitement for which she yearns. So when Cat's wealthy neighbours, the Allens, invite her to Edinburgh Festival, she is sure adventure beckons.

Edinburgh initially offers no such thrills: Susie Allen is obsessed by shopping, Andrew Allen by the Fringe. A Highland Dance class, though, brings Cat a new acquaintance: Henry Tilney, a pale, dark-eyed gentleman whose family home, Northanger Abbey, sounds perfectly thrilling. And an introduction to Bella Thorpe, who shares her passion for supernatural novels, provides Cat with a like-minded friend. But with Bella comes her brother John, an obnoxious banker whose vulgar behaviour seems designed to thwart Cat's growing fondness for Henry.

Happily, rescue is at hand. The rigidly formal General Tilney invites her to stay at Northanger with son Henry and daughter Eleanor. Cat's imagination runs riot: an ancient abbey, crumbling turrets, secret chambers, ghosts...and Henry! What could be more deliciously romantic?

But Cat gets far more than she bargained for in this isolated corner of the Scottish Borders. The real world outside the pages of a novel proves to be altogether more disturbing than the imagined world within...

No hope of a quiet life then for Charlie, and there are times when his real job - trying the challenging criminal cases that come before him - actually seems like light relief.

If you like Rumpole of the Bailey, you'll love Walden of Bermondsey

Praise for Walden of Bermondsey

'No one writes with more wit, warmth and insight about the law and its practitioners than Peter Murphy. He has no equal since the great John 'Rumpole' Mortimer' - David Ambrose

'Though his exasperation is sometimes palpable, what triumphs over everything is his sense of humour. And it is the humour that makes Walden of Bermondsey such a delightful read. Think of him as what Rumpole would be like if he ever became a judge, and you get some idea of his self-deprecating wit and indomitable stoicism. Add a dash of Henry Cecil for his situation and AP Herbert for the fun he has with the law, and you get a sense of Peter's literary precedents' - Paul Magrath

Nick on The Bluebell Informant:

'DS Giles is a strong female protagonist pitted against an extreme right-wing and corrupt politician who doesn't take kindly to having his life resting in the hands of an asian detective. Clarity Hunters

Hugh Brier is an average guy with above-average troubles. His construction skills, and his background he doesn't talk about much, attract the interest of a shadowy think tank called the Merit Group. They think he's clever and want to hire him, though the terms of his employment are worryingly vague.

Hugh manages to tell them 'no' in a way they understand. He thinks he's clear of all trouble when his day job almost kills him. The apartment building he's spearheading partially collapses while he and his people are inside.

When Hugh wakes, he's in the hospital, three of his employees are dead, and the police and prosecutors are eyeing Hugh hard.

Hugh's insistence on his innocence seems to make him look more guilty. Under the darkest kind of cloud, he begins piecing together the facts of this disaster. The true picture is a dangerous one: one of Portland's shadowy power centers, a builder and concrete supplier called Andrew Pallin, has orchestrated the sabotage of Hugh's building. He's also pulling strings to ensure Hugh's prosecution. It's the hard nose way of handling up-and-coming competition.

Hugh can't convince anyone in authority to believe him. What's left? Prison, no. He's already spent many months in a federal prison earlier in his life. He wants vindication.

Hugh turns to the people he met at the Merit Group and asks for their help. There's a cost, of course. Hugh has to commit to a year's contract working for them in exchange for a plan to bring about Andrew Pallin's fall.

Hugh knows how heavy his current troubles are and signs up. Once he steps into the shadowy world of think tanks and private spies, his real trouble begins.

Clarity Hunters is the first book featuring Hugh Brier.

Temperance's Trial, Episode 1 of the Virtues and Valor Series

Introducing the Virtues and Valor series part 1 of 8 serialized stories that tell the tale of a daring rescue and escape. Each episode is told from the perspective of a different heroine, and each heroine is inspired by a true WWII heroine.

The Third Reich Seeks to Extract the Information She Alone Knows

MARIE GILBERT and her elder brother flee from Vichy France after the Gestapo arrest her father for suspicion of aiding Jewish children to escape the oncoming fascist front. Once in London, Marie is recruited into an experimental all female cohort dubbed the Virtues, a collection of seven extraordinary women with highly specialized skills.

Known only by her code name, TEMPERANCE, she is trained to operate a wireless radio and returns to her beloved France. With a new identity, Marie clandestinely communicates vital intelligence directly back to Headquarters but unwillingly attracts the attention and apparent adoration of a handsome but ruthless Nazi officer, Oberleutnant LEOPOLD SCHAFER.

As the H-hour to execute their daring mission draws ever closer, Marie plays a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with the unrelenting and merciless young Lieutenant Schafer and the Nazi soldiers under his command.

TEMPERANCE'S TRIAL is part one of eight serialized novellas entitled the Virtues and Valor series.

Seven valorous women -- different nationalities, ethnicities, and social backgrounds -- come together as a team called the Virtues.

In 1941 Great Britain a special war department assembles an experimental and exclusively female cohort of combat operatives. Four willing spies, a wireless radio operator, an ingenious code breaker, and a fearless pilot are each hand-picked, recruited, and trained to initiate a daring mission in Occupied France. As plans are laid to engineer the largest prison break of Allied POWs in history, the Nazis capture the Virtues' radio operator. It will take the cohesive teamwork of the rest of the women to save her life before Berlin breaks her and brings the force of the Third Reich to bear.

Some find love, some find vengeance, and some discover the kind of strength that lives in the human heart when all they can do is rely on each other and their shared belief. Courage, faith, and valor intersect but, in the end, one pays the ultimate price.

Introducing the Virtues and Valor series by Hallee Bridgeman. Eight serialized novellas, each inspired by real people and actual events, reveal the incredible story of amazing heroines facing the ultimate test of bravery.

Revolt of the Rats (The Rats Series Book 1)

"A wonderfully written story. Reed Blitzerman has crafted a tale with imagery that is reminescent of Pat Conroy's Prince of Tides. You will fall in love with his characters as he immerses you in their tale of survival. A tribute to the human spirit..." - Mary F.

"This drew me in and held me."

Book one in a series.

The rats below are on the rise.

Separated by seventy years, Kahle Desireau and Eli Steiner are military veterans, still caught in the fight for survival.

One driven by love...

Kahle Desireau returns from the Bosnian War haunted by his childhood gift, seeing the "black smoke" - the auras of the dead and dying, for an attempt at a normal life. Instead, he follows the girl of his dreams to Frampton: a factory town where the factory is dying. Their only chance to survive will be rebellion.

...one consumed by desperation.

Eli Steiner spends his life after World War I helping others. Until a yellow roadster comes to town with disaster at the wheel. The fields flake to powder beneath a relentless sun. The banks have stopped lending. And his small family farm will be caught in the tsunami known as the Great Depression.

With two futures on a collision course, seventy years is a moment in time.

Interview with the Author

Q: Why write a book as novellas?

A: Fear. I wondered if I would ever finish. Fifty pages or so in, I got anxious about finding the time to edit, proofread, and plan the next chapter while working a full-time job. I had hoped that the confidence from finishing the first novella would carry me to the second. If enough readers asked for the next book, then I'd be forced to finish it. Or if it wasn't any good, I wouldn't have invested too much time to find out. I'd seen others do it and thought it was perfect.

The novella format also helped maintain quality control; something specific; so that my reader would enjoy every page. Paraphrasing Joe Hill, every sentence had to fight for existence. So I edited over and over. My mother is really my first reader. There's not a lot she misses. So when she said that several passages were boring, I spent seven months doing a rewrite. It was excruciating, but hopefully, it produced a much better product.

I placed a premium on the language. The books I read over and over were books where the journey of reading was more pleasurable than the destination. I've read, "All The Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr probably four or five times, back to back. The plot twists were only a surprise the first time. Experiencing the language was something I did over and over again. What hooked me as a reader was the magic trick of how he created the effect right under my nose. I thought maybe I could do something like that for someone else.

Q: Where did you get the idea for the series?

A: Well I'm an Army veteran and when I got out, it seemed like we were everywhere, this diaspora of ex-military members that are essentially invisible, like a society within society. What if it really was a cabal, different in some fundamental way we haven't seen before? And then, what if those same people were considered not worthy and kind of discarded? The historical parallel would be the ronin, masterless samurai during the Japanese feudal period, who lost their honor when they lost their lord but retained the bushido code. The Tom Cruise movie, "The Last Samurai." had already done the heavy lifting of explaining the idea for me. Reading Tim Powers' dynamic novel, "Three Days to Never" highlighted the possibility of creating an American secret history, based on this new information.

Preludes: A Story of Child Sexual Abuse from a Child’s Perspective in a Middle Class American Family

Illuminating the horrors of child sexual abuse from a child's perspective, "Preludes" is a novella-length story chronicling the experiences of a nine-year-old boy as he struggles to survive sexual abuse by his father in a middle class American family in the 1960s. "Preludes" is based in significant part on the experiences of its author, a child sexual abuse survivor.

* * *

When a nine-year-old boy in a "respectable," middle class family is raped, then repeatedly molested by his father, how does the boy experience the abuse and how does he manage to survive?

"Preludes" examines these questions.

The boy wakes in the middle of the night to find his father sitting on the edge of his bed, gently shaking him from his sleep. Though confused by his father's unexpected presence, for a few brief moments he suspects nothing unusual.

His father then accuses him of having misbehaved without saying how, and tells him he'll have to be punished. The boy initially protests, but then, sensing the futility of resistance, grudgingly prepares himself for what his father tells him will be a spanking, all the while thinking, "Gee, this is ridiculous--I haven't done anything wrong." His father then proceeds to rape him, and, the rape completed, threatens to murder him if he tells anyone, including his mother.

Thus begins the boy's struggle for survival in the face of his father's nightly onslaughts--a struggle that stretches the boy's physical, psychological, and emotional resources to their limits and beyond.

Adding to his struggle's immensity is the story's milieu: a "Pleasantville" middle class neighborhood in a mid-sized American city in the early 1960s--an environment that gives no indication, on its surface, that dysfunction of such proportions could occur within its hermetic confines. The boy's family enjoys a high status--the father is a professor at a prestigious university, and the family belongs to a Presbyterian church that counts among its members some of the city's most prominent citizens. It is an environment in which acknowledgement of even the merest possibility of child sexual abuse within a family as respectable as that of the boy's is as taboo as the abuse itself. Sensing these constrictions, the boy feels his isolation in his suffering increase exponentially.

The prime importance placed by the community on maintaining a semblance of normalcy, no matter the cost to the truth, extends to the day-to-day life of the boy's home. The family's nightly meals together, at a table set with engraved silverware and an "everyday" china of the most tasteful design, and the "Smile Club" photos the boy's mother hangs in the downstairs hallway--family photos, taken regularly, for which the fundamental requisite is that everyone in them be wearing a pleasant smile--help form the bulwark of the mother's determined effort to put the best possible face on things.

To survive, the boy attempts to hide the truth as much as possible, even from himself, with his mind employing, as its chief means to this end, a total forgetting of the abuse when it's not actually happening--a strategy his mind has utilized on previous occasions of his father's abuse.

But survival, though laudable, comes at an enormous price--a price exacted, among other ways, in the warped perception the boy forms of what it means to "be a man." A price, the story suggests, the boy will have to pay going forward, into adulthood, until he reaches a point of substantial healing.

Two Kill Again (The Cleary Case Files Book 2)

Michael Thompson had no idea that his camping trip to Dark Hollow Falls would be his worst and last day on earth or that his teenage daughter, Sydney, would be gravely wounded and orphaned in the same savage attack. Sydney's ultimate betrayal occurred at the one place she believed was her sanctuary. When that realization coalesced with the certainty her father was dead, Sydney's only wish was to linger in her semi-conscious state until she could die.

Psychologist and FBI agent Shawn Cleary begins her investigation without knowing that the man who will become the Park Slasher is still a threat to the youngster. As she patiently works to establish a relationship with the wounded girl, more National Park attacks occur. Shawn pursues evidence and a confusing trail through the grandeur of the Smoky Mountains and the majesty of Yosemite.

Still hospitalized at D.C. General, Sydney's slow recovery is hampered by a maniacal child psychologist and a custody fight that could cause the FBI agent to cross an ethical line. A second attempt to kill the beleaguered teenager further buries her memory of the events at Dark Hollow Falls. Shawn's developing relationship with Sydney enables her to probe the girl's mind leading the FBI to the San Francisco home of the misguided killer.

Agents sift through false clues until a startling discovery in California sends Shawn and her team to Glacier National Park with the knowledge that the attacks are more personal than the FBI could have believed. Amid blizzard conditions, Shawn leads her wary team to the treacherous, snow covered trails of Glacier for a stunning confrontation that will allow Shawn to either capture the Park Slasher and his cohorts or allow them to escape forever.

A Mother's Day: A Short Story

AN ORIGINAL SHORT STORY

FROM THE CELEBRATED AUTHOR OF

THE BESTSELLING NOVEL HERE, HOME, HOPE ....

Three mothers. Three sons. One day that changes them all forever.

Five Star Reviews!

"Nicely written - very quick read - sad moment but wonderfully heartwarming! Ms. Rouda - you're Light Blue!" ~ Stacy Eaton, author

"Kaira Rouda does an amazing job of weaving three disparate tales together by uniting them around a single shocking event as observed by three very different types of women, all at different stages of motherhood. Her voice is authentic and each story is engaging and leaves you wanting to know more. It was a perfect story." ~ Hobson, Amazon Reviewer

"I enjoyed the short story which delves into the lives of three different women who are mothers - each of them is at a different stage of motherhood (a new mom with a baby to a mom of a teenage son) and each has boys (I have two sons myself). We get a peek into the lives of these three women on Mother's Day and a shocking event that happens that they are all tied to in some way - a life-changing event - and eventually see how the three moms are connected (think like the movie CRASH with Sandra Bullock where the characters are slightly connected). For those who enjoy it, dive into the author's full-length novel called HERE, HOME, HOPE. Both are great reads for women who enjoy women's fiction novels that are both inspiring, real and well written." ~ WriterCrys, Amazon Reviewer

Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Collection
